Our mission.

Creating space for people in primarily conservative areas of the United States to build community and create grassroots, hyper-local initiatives that advance pro-social and pro-environment policies.

We envision a United States where, even when we disagree on the best way to get there, we’re more united in shared goals of advancing civil and human rights for all and protecting the environment.  We believe that we can get past rampant disinformation and fear-mongering by creating authentic connections at the hyper-local level with our neighbors, friends, family, communities, and local policy-makers.  When we connect our blue dots together and face each other human-to-human, we become a powerful light in the darkness.

Our vision.

Our values.

We believe in protecting the human and civil rights of all people, regardless of their identities, and we understand that, for many, their rights are either gravely threatened or only precariously protected.

We believe in building human connection, helping people understand the necessity of protecting human and civil rights and the environment, and in allowing space for evolution of views and redemption; but we will never harbor, condone, or stay silent in the face of bigotry, racism, sexism, queer phobia, ableism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and other forms of hate.

We believe that everyone has their own unique way of contributing to our mission, and we value different perspectives, methods, paces, etc. in reaching our vision.  To that end, there is no centralized control of Many Blue Dots chapters; each chapter sets their own goals, strategies, and tactics, aligned with the overall mission.

We believe in paying deference to and supporting the work and voices of those organizations and individuals who have predated us in our mission, especially those with less privilege and societal power, rather than overshadowing their work in any way.  We also understand that those of us who are more privileged based on identity must take on the greatest burden and constantly, proactively (not performatively) strive to act in support of those with less privilege.

We believe that grassroots, hyper-local action combined with national connection, has the best chance of fighting the growing spread of hate and fascist ideology in the United States.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
